Did anyone else notice the FAA flight restrictions that popped up right before the Skinwalker Ranch incident last month?

Noticed this too actually. I've been cross-referencing flight restriction data with "unusual activity" reports for a few years now and the timing does seem more than coincidental in some cases.

That said, TFRs get issued for all sorts of mundane reasons - VIP movements, military exercises, emergency response staging and so on. The problem is when the official reason given is vague or doesn't match the location properly, thats when I start paying more attention.

The Skinwalker area is interesting because BAASS and then Adamantium Holdings have had the ranch under various levels of restricted access for years, so theres already an infrastructure there for keeping people out both on the ground and above it.

Anyone got the actual NOTAMs from around that date? Would be worth looking at the exact altitude restrictions and duration. Sometimes the details tell you more than the headline. If it was a short window at low altitude thats a different conversation to a prolonged high-altitude block.
