I noticed something similar actually, I track these restrictions using a couple of apps on my phone and there was definitely something unusual over that area for about 4 days. What really got me curious was how the radius of the restricted zone kept shifting slightly each day, like it wasn't a fixed perimeter. That's not typical from what I understand.
Does anyone know if these restrictions show up in the official FAA logs with any explanation attached? I tried looking but my searching skills are not the best and I couldn't find anything that explained the reason for it.
I'm fairly new to following this sort of thing so maybe this kind of temporary restriction is more common than I realise. But 4 days seems long to me. Would love to hear from people who have been watching these flight zones for longer than I have.
