Yeah I spotted this and it's been bugging me ever since. The timing is what gets me - it went up with almost no notice and the stated reason was so vague it was basically meaningless. "Temporary flight restriction for operational purposes" or whatever the boilerplate was.
Anyone actually cross-reference the coordinates against known test facilities? Because when I did that with a couple of the Mothman sighting clusters I've been mapping, there's sometimes a pattern where restrictions pop up right after a significant sighting report comes in from that area. Could be nothing, probably isn't nothing.
What I want to know is who filed the restriction and whether anyone managed to track any unusual traffic in that corridor before it went up. These things dont just appear for no reason and the FAA database is technically public so someone with more patience than me should be able to dig into it.
Has anyone actually been out there on the ground recently? That would tell us more than staring at flight maps tbh.
