Yeah I caught that actually. There were two separate TFRs stacked on top of each other which is unusual even for Dugway, they don't normally do that. Usually its just a standard no-fly zone but this one had altitude restrictions that went all the way up to FL180 which is 18,000 feet for anyone not familiar with FAA notation. That's not a helicopter restriction, thats stopping fixed wing traffic at cruising altitude.
I've been tracking Dugway restrictions off and on for about three years now using the FAA NOTAM database and this one stood out because it popped up with less than 6 hours notice and lasted 11 days. Most of their routine stuff gets filed weeks ahead. Something was either coming in, going out, or they were worried about eyes in the sky and honestly all three options are interesting to me.
Anyone else cross reference the timing with any unusual radar tracks or satellite passes? Would love to compare notes because I dont want to jump to conclusions but this one definitely felt different to the routine activity over there.
