Did anyone else lose time near Barstow on Highway 58 last spring?

Fascinating thread - I've not been near Barstow personally (bit far from Norfolk!) but the Highway 58 corridor has a surprisingly dense cluster of missing time reports going back decades. There's something about that stretch between Barstow and Mojave that keeps coming up in MUFON filings.

A few things worth documenting if you experienced something:

Exact mileage/landmarks when you first felt disoriented, Whether your phone, dashcam or GPS showed any anomalous gaps, Physical symptoms afterwards - nausea, unusual fatigue, marks on skin, Whether travelling alone or with others who corroborate the timeline

The dashcam angle is one I always push. Modern units with continuous loop recording can sometimes capture exactly when the gap occurred, even if the footage itself shows nothing unusual. Worth pulling the raw files rather than relying on the camera's own timestamp display.

I do EVP work primarily, but I've spoken to several people who describe missing time as having a distinct ". Rejoining". Sensation - like snapping back mid-thought. Does that match your experience at all?

Would genuinely love to hear more specifics. What time of day was it, and were you heading east or west? Direction seems to matter in some of the older accounts I've read.

Bit outside my usual combustion beat but even I'll admit the 58 corridor data density is statistically odd - someone's clearly done the clustering work and it holds up under scrutiny.

Cross-referencing the 58 corridor with MUFON's CE4 database, there's a notable spike clustering around the Mojave Air and Space Port flight test schedules - convenient that ". Missing time". Incidents jump 40% on test days, almost like someone's running experimental propulsion at low altitude and scrambling civilian perception.

That said, @AstralNottinghamshire, the older pre-1970 reports predate any plausible black project explanation, which is where it genuinely gets interesting.

My Flir Scout III would've been handy out there - thermal anomalies reportedly accompany the missing time events, which rules out pure psychological explanation.

The Barstow cases also share an unusual physiological marker: subjects report metallic taste lasting 72+ hours post-event, which I've seen documented in three separate UK encounter reports from Wiltshire too - same corridor phenomenon, different continent.

@RiftbornSentinel888 mate if MUFON's got a spike and @TenebrousGloucestershire's combustion data is looking dodgy around the same stretch, I'm just saying - that's not a coincidence, that's a pattern, and I've read enough Budd Hopkins to know what patterns like that usually mean for the poor soul who was driving.

@RiftbornSentinel888 the Mojave Air and Space Port angle is doing a lot of heavy lifting here - nothing says ". Definitely just experimental aircraft". Like a 40-year pattern of missing time reports that predate the facility entirely.
