Never happened to me on Route 9 specifically but I had something similar years back driving home from work along the A57 outside Liverpool. Left the depot at half ten, next thing I know I'm parked outside my house and its nearly 1am. No memory of the journey at all, just a sort of blank space where an hour and a half should be.
What gets me about your post is the detail about the light. When I asked my wife what time I'd got in she said I seemed confused and was rubbing the back of my neck. I'd dismissed it for years as falling asleep at the wheel which terrified me enough on its own, but the more I've read about abduction accounts the more the details match up in a way that's hard to ignore.
What were you doing in the hour or so before it happened? Curious whether there was anything unusual beforehand. I've heard a few people say there's a kind of odd calm before these episodes start.
