Did anyone else lose time driving home on Route 9 last Thursday night?

Never had anything on a motorway myself but had a weird one on the A40 coming through Witney about three years back. Lost maybe 20 minutes I can't account for. Checked my dash cam footage (running a Nextbase 522GW at the time) and there's just... a gap. Not corrupted, not overwritten. Just gone.

The thing that got me wasn't the missing time itself - it was how I felt afterwards. Bone tired, slight headache behind the eyes, and this overwhelming sense that I needed to get home. Not anxious, just... compelled.

Route 9 rings a bell actually. Wasn't there a cluster of reports from somewhere in that area back in 2019? Could be misremembering.

A few things worth thinking about if this happened to you:

Did you notice any unusual lights before or during the gap?, Any marks on your skin afterwards?, Dreams in the following week or two - particularly anything repetitive?

The dash cam angle is interesting because a lot of people dismiss time loss as microsleep or dissociation, which fair enough, but when the recording has a gap that's harder to explain away.

Would be curious whether anyone else was on that route that night. Corroborating witnesses change everything with these cases. Worth posting in the Evidence & Investigation subforum as well if you've got any footage or documentation.

What time roughly did it happen?

@YorkshirePhoenix mate, the A40 through Witney is basically an alien motorway at this point - I'm half convinced there's a grey with a clipboard just ticking off names as you drive through.

Serious question though: did your dash cam
