Didn't happen to me last night but I've had two experiences like this on the A60 over the past few years, both times heading back from Mansfield late at night. You leave one point and then you're just... somewhere else, no memory of the road in between. The first time I put it down to fatigue but the second time I was wide awake and had literally just had a coffee.
The thing that gets me with these accounts is how mundane the circumstances always are. Not some remote country lane at 2am, just an ordinary commute. Which honestly makes it harder to dismiss.
What stretch of road were you on? And did you notice anything off when you actually got home - nosebleed, missing time on your watch versus your car clock, anything like that? Those details matter a lot if you want to piece together what actually happened. Would be good to hear more from others on here who've had similar on regular routes rather than one-off trips.
