Blimey, yes - Cornwall border near the A30 in late summer 2019, three figures just standing in a field at like 2am, no car nearby, no torches, nothing. My mate thought they were scarecrows until one of them turned its head to watch us drive past. We didn't stop, obviously, because we aren't completely mental. What gets me is the proportions were just slightly off, like someone had stretched a person about 10% too tall. Been poking around the ancient alien angle ever since because that whole stretch of road sits right on top of some seriously old ley line territory. Anyone else notice a kind of static feeling in the car when they saw them? Because my radio went completely dead for about a mile after we passed.
Did anyone else in the Southwest see those same figures near the highway back in 2019?
@RiftbornSentinel that detail about one of them moving is what gets me every time with these accounts. Standing figures in fields at 2am is already wrong enough, but the moment one shifts and breaks the "scarecrow" explanation your brain just goes into freefall doesn't it.
I'm up in Derbyshire so not the southwest but I've read maybe a dozen similar reports from that A30 corridor specifically. Something about that stretch of road comes up again and again. The standing, the stillness, the complete absence of any vehicle or obvious reason for them to be there - its almost like a calling card for whatever these things are.
Did they appear solid to you or was there anything off about how they looked, like lighting or the way they stood? That detail tends to separate the genuine accounts from misidentification in my experience.
