Not from the Midwest myself (Lancashire, UK) but this caught my attention because we had something odd last Thursday too, around 11pm. Three lights in a loose triangle formation, slow moving, no sound at all. I watched them for maybe 4-5 minutes then went inside to grab my camera and when I came back out I honestly couldn't account for why it was suddenly gone dark - like I'd lost track of a significant chunk of time but couldn't pin down how much exactly.
Probably nothing but the timing of your post made me stop scrolling. Anyone else outside the US reporting anything similar that night? Would be interesting to see if theres a pattern geographically. I've been doing ghost hunting mostly but this has got me paying more attention to the sky lately.
