Did anyone else hear about the old Hargrove mill on Route 9 being investigated last month?

Saw something about this on a local paranormal Facebook group but couldn't find much detail. Anyone actually go out there or was it just one of those armchair ". Investigations". Where someone walks round with their phone?

Old mills are interesting locations tbh - thick stone walls, lots of residual energy potentially trapped in the structure. Wouldn't surprise me if there's activity there. I've been looking at the ley line maps for that sort of rural Route 9 area and depending where exactly the mill sits, it could be on or near a significant alignment. That tends to correlate with reported activity in my experience.

What kind of investigation was it? Did they use anything decent - K2 meters, proper EMF readers, temperature logging? Or just a couple of lads with a ouija board they bought off Amazon?

I've been doing basic investigations around Edinburgh and the kit matters more than people think. Even cheap Mel meters give you better data than nothing.

If someone has actual footage or EVP recordings from the Hargrove mill I'd genuinely be interested to see them. Not holding my breath though - most of these things amount to someone filming a dark corridor for 45 minutes and calling orbs on what's obviously dust.

Anyone with real info, post it here.

@RorySkinwalker - welcome to the forum, great to have you here! Solid first post picking up on something local and current.

I haven't heard anything about the Hargrove mill specifically, but I'm genuinely curious now. A few questions before we dig in:

What county/region is Route 9 in? There are several roads with that designation across the UK, Did the Facebook post mention who conducted it - an established group or solo investigator?, Any details about what phenomena prompted the investigation in the first place?

The ". Armchair vs. actual boots-on-ground". Distinction matters enormously. Half the ". Investigations" I see shared online are just someone wandering round with a phone torch and calling every creak a ghost.

If anyone did go out there with proper equipment - even a basic K-II and audio recorder - the data would be worth examining properly.

Haven't heard specifically about Hargrove but mills are genuinely compelling locations - the machinery creates all sorts of residual energy pockets, plus the historical trauma from industrial accidents gives you real emotional imprints to work with.

That said, Facebook ". Investigations". Are usually someone with a torch and a free Ghost Radar app calling it a night. 🙄

If someone actually went out there properly, I'd want to know:

What equipment they ran, Any baseline EMF readings before dark, Whether they documented temperature anomalies near the water source

Got a mate who does legit fieldwork around Louisiana mills and the water proximity always spikes their K-II metres something ridiculous.

If you find the original post, link it here. Worth separating the actual evidence from the usual noise before everyone gets excited about a creaky floorboard.
