Saw this thread and had to comment because something similar happened to me about three years ago on the M6 coming back from visiting my daughter in Wolverhampton. Three lights in a triangle formation, dead still in the sky, no sound whatsoever. What really got me was I left her house at half nine and somehow didn't pull into my drive until gone 1am. That stretch normally takes me 40 minutes, maybe 45 if traffic's bad.
I'm not one to jump straight to "aliens took me" because honestly I think theres usually a rational explanation. But I've never been able to account for those missing hours and it genuinely bothers me still.
What highway were you on and roughly what time? Would be interesting to see if theres any pattern geographically. I know people on here will say it was drones or military but those lights were not moving like any aircraft I've ever seen in 60 odd years of being alive.
