Did anyone else get a weird humming sound right before their missing time experience?

Yeah actually this lines up with something a mate of mine described after his missing time incident out near Slidell back in 2019. He kept saying it was less like a sound and more like a feeling in his teeth, if that makes any sense. Low frequency, almost below hearing.

I've done a fair bit of reading on this and the humming thing comes up way more than people realise. Some researchers think it might be related to infrasound messing with perception before whatever happens, happens. Others just chalk it up to anxiety or tinnitus kicking in.

What I find interesting is that the humming almost always seems to cut out completely right before the gap in memory starts. Like a signal dropping. Anyone else notice that specific detail or is it just my mates account that has that?

Infrasound will do that - you don't hear it so much as feel it in your chest and teeth. Had similar reports come up in SHC cases oddly enough, people nearby describing that same "pressure feeling" before an incident.

Your mate's description of it being felt rather than heard is the interesting bit. Worth asking if he had any ringing in the ears afterwards
