Been to Harewood a few times over the years and yes, that area has a completely different atmosphere to the rest of the house. The cold is the thing people always mention but what got me more was this strange feeling of being watched from the corridor leading off to the left. Hard to explain properly.
Did anyone actually run a spirit box session in that part of the building? I brought mine on a ghost night there about three years back and picked up what sounded like a woman's voice saying something I couldn't quite make out. The guide told us afterwards that a former housemaid had died in service there which made the hairs on my neck stand up a bit.
Would love to know if others have had similar experiences or caught anything on audio. These old servant quarters always seem to hold onto something, in my experience the areas where working people lived day to day tend to be far more active than the grand rooms the tours focus on.
