Never been to that one specifically but Galveston's got a serious history so I wouldn't be surprised at all. The humidity and age of those old buildings does something weird even without the paranormal element - you get into a basement that's been there since the 1800s and your brain already knows something's off.
What did you actually feel down there? Was it temperature, pressure, just a general dread sort of thing? I ask because I've photographed a few old hotels here in England and the basement experiences are always the most intense. Got some odd orb shots in the cellar of a place in Derbyshire a couple years back, nothing conclusive but enough to make me look twice.
Would love to hear if anyone else visited that same spot. Curious whether its consistent across different visitors or just a one-off.
