Didn't catch it live but a mate in Chandler sent me a short clip on Thursday night, around 11pm his time. The lights looked pretty steady to me - not the usual flickering you get with Chinese lanterns - but I'm no expert on how lights behave at altitude so take that with a grain of salt.
My question is, does anyone know if there was any kind of authorised air display or drone show scheduled that night? Phoenix seems to get a fair few of those and they can look genuinely strange if you catch them at an odd angle. I've been trying to find local event listings but nothing obvious is coming up.
Also curious whether anyone managed to get a longer recording. The clip I saw was only about 40 seconds and the formation seemed to shift slightly near the end but it was hard to tell if thats camera movement or the lights actually repositioning. Would really help to compare footage from different angles if anyone has it.
