Bit of an odd one to ask here since I'm based in Cornwall and obviously nowhere near Phoenix, but something strange has been on my mind since reading this thread.
Last Tuesday, around 11pm, I spotted something triangular moving over the coast near where I live. Silent, three lights at each point, moving way too slow for a conventional aircraft then just... stopped. Hovered for maybe two minutes and then shot off north faster than anything I've ever seen.
I know the Phoenix sighting is completely separate geographically but the description in the OP is almost identical to what I witnessed. Does this happen often, the same craft type appearing on the same night in completely different countries? Is there any kind of database where people log these things by date so you can cross-reference sightings? Genuinely curious whether Tuesday night was significant in some way or if I'm just connecting dots that aren't there.
