Wasn't near Erie last Thursday but I've been tracking triangular craft reports in the northeast for going on fifteen years now and this matches a pattern I've documented from Appalachian sightings. My question for whoever witnessed it - did the lights hold a fixed position relative to each other the whole time, or did you notice any rotation in the triangle formation? That detail matters a lot for ruling out conventional explanations. Also what was the approximate altitude estimate and did anyone get a compass bearing on the direction it was traveling? I've got field notes going back to 2009 on similar formations and the directional data is the one thing most witnesses forget to record in the moment but its honestly the most useful piece of information for cross-referencing multiple sightings.
Did anyone else catch that triangular craft over Lake Erie last Thursday night?
