Cluster of sightings around Liverpool docks area - anyone else had experiences there?

I've been noting reports from the Liverpool waterfront area - specifically the docks and Albert Dock vicinity - over the past 18 months. Nothing massive, but consistent reports of unusual lights over the water, mostly between 10 PM and midnight. I've been there three times now trying to get proper documentation, but either I'm going at the wrong time or there's nothing to it.

What interests me is that these aren't isolated incidents - I've found at least eight credible reports from different witnesses who don't know each other, all describing similar phenomena. Orange-ish lights moving against the wind, unusual silence (people mention the gulls going quiet), and everyone describes a sort of 'presence' feeling, which I know sounds daft.

I'm planning another visit next week (weather permitting) and wanted to see if anyone else has experienced anything similar or would fancy joining me for a proper investigation. Temperature readings, EMF sweeps, the lot.

I live near Liverpool and I've definitely seen odd lights over the water, though I've always assumed it was port activity or aircraft from Manchester. The timing you mention - 10-midnight - that's interesting because that's when the big container ships usually move through. Could be legitimate shipping lights combined with poor visibility making them look weird?

The 'gulls going quiet' detail is worth paying attention to. Animals are sensitive to electromagnetic fields and low-frequency sounds. If you're serious about investigating, bring an audio recorder alongside your EMF meter - record the ambient sound including ultrasonic range if possible. That might actually explain why witnesses feel a 'presence' - they might be picking up subsonic frequencies they can't consciously hear but that create a sense of unease.

I had a weird experience at Albert Dock about a year ago but didn't think much of it at the time. Was there with my girlfriend around 11:30 PM and both of us felt genuinely unsettled - not scared exactly, but wrong somehow. We saw some orange lights moving across the water towards the docks and my phone died completely, which was odd because the battery was half full. Didn't think it was paranormal at the time, just coincidence, but reading your post it sounds familiar.

I'm interested but can only do weekends. If you're going on a Saturday or Sunday I'd genuinely consider coming along - I've got a thermal camera and an EMF meter, and I'm keen to do proper investigations rather than just anecdotal chat. Where are you basing your observations from? The docks themselves are restricted access, so best visibility points would be interesting to know.

Could also be worth checking local news archives for the same time period - sometimes unusual sightings correlate with other documented incidents (power outages, equipment failures, etc.) that wouldn't immediately be linked to the same event. Liverpool's got decent newspaper records going back years.
