Can we PLEASE get a debunking tag? Believers vs skeptics is getting silly

Hi mods, been a member since 2019 and I love this community, but it's getting mental. Every single thread about cryptids or paranormal activity gets completely derailed by the same people asking for "evidence" as though this is a university seminar rather than a place for people to share experiences.

What if we had a tagging system? Like [DEBUNKING] or [SKEPTICAL DISCUSSION] so that believers can share their stories without getting absolutely roasted by the three or four regular skeptics who seem to live on this forum? And vice versa - skeptics could have their own space to discuss why something probably isn't paranormal.

Right now it feels like we're deliberately mixing oil and water and then acting shocked when they don't combine. Thoughts?

ModJess_UK: Great feedback, cheers for this. We've actually been discussing this behind the scenes. The issue is that a "debunking" tag might inadvertently suggest that certain posts are officially debunked, which we can't do. But a [CRITICAL DISCUSSION] tag might work. We'll run it past the mod team and see what everyone thinks.

SkepticalSam: I appreciate the sentiment but honestly I think the debate IS the value here. If we split believers and skeptics into separate rooms, nobody learns anything. The friction is annoying but it's also where good conversations happen. Maybe we just need better moderation of the really hostile replies?

TruthSeeker77: Or - and I'm just spitballing - maybe the skeptics could let people share their experiences without immediately demanding peer-reviewed papers? Not every post is a scientific claim. Some of us just want to talk about weird things that happened to us. The instant dismissal is pretty tiresome.

ForumOldTimer: This forum used to be fun, mate. Now every thread is the same arguments repeated. Tagging won't solve it because people will still click through and argue anyway. What we really need is a culture shift, and that's on all of us.
