I'm planning a little day trip to Essex next month and was thinking about visiting the site where Borley Rectory used to stand. For those who don't know, it was probably the most famous haunted location in Britain - built in 1862, demolished in 1944 after years of absolutely bonkers paranormal activity. Poltergeists, apparitions, mysterious fires, the whole lot.
The actual rectory's gone now, but the site is still there near Sudbury. I was wondering if anyone's been recently and can give me some intel? Is it worth visiting, or is it just an empty field? I'm bringing my mate who's a complete skeptic, so if nothing happens that's alright, but I'd like to know what to expect. Are there any particular times that are better to visit? Any equipment I should bring?
Cheers in advance!
