Blimey, did anyone catch the Radio 4 special last night about Rendlesham? They had that retired RAF chap on, the one who was actually stationed there in '80, and he was remarkably candid about the whole thing. Kept saying "I can't explain what we saw" which basically means "I'm not allowed to say but it definitely wasn't a lighthouse."

The presenter kept trying to steer him toward prosaic explanations but you could hear the frustration in his voice. Made a cuppa tea halfway through and my missus even put her phone down, which tells you something.

What did everyone else reckon? Anyone think the BBC finally grew a pair and gave this proper coverage for once?

Radio 4 has been decent on paranormal stuff lately tbh. Remember that series three years back on Pendle Hill? They're doing better than telly, where it's all dramatisation and shaky cam footage.

That RAF bloke sounded genuinely uncomfortable which is the tell-tale sign someone's being honest. If he was making it up he'd be more polished.

Mate, it's still just people talking though innit. Where's the physical evidence? The documentary didn't present anything we didn't already know. Rendlesham's been picked over by UFO enthusiasts for 40 years and we're still no closer to answers.

The bit about the "radiation readings" was interesting though. Wish they'd had a physicist on to discuss the actual technical specs rather than just taking the witness's word for it. Still, beats the usual nonsense on Really TV.
