Been watching the reports cluster around the Arkansas/Missouri border again and honestly the seasonal pattern is holding up better than I expected - same rough corridor, same time of year, same description of that low resonant howl that witnesses can never quite pin as canine or feline. Either we've got a genuinely unclassified predator doing its annual thing, or there's a shared cultural memory in that region that keeps getting triggered by something mundane making weird noises in the dark.
What's grabbing my attention is how consistent the eye-shine descriptions are across witnesses who clearly haven't spoken to each other. Red, elevated, wider spaced than a dog. Thats not nothing.
Anyone got contacts in the Ozarks who are actively out there with cameras right now? Would love to see some proper trail cam data rather than another blurry phone video shot in a panic.
