Anyone else's pets acting terrified in the same corner of the room every night?

Been following this pattern with my own cat for about three years now. She'll sit bolt upright at 2am staring at the same spot near the skirting board in the hallway, hackles up, the lot. Never actually runs away though, just stares. That's what gets me - most haunting accounts describe animals fleeing, but mine seems almost transfixed rather than frightened.

Has anyone tried logging the times it happens? I started keeping a notebook and there's a loose pattern on certain nights that I cant fully explain yet. Could be infrasound, could be something else entirely.

What I'd genuinely like to know is whether the animals in these accounts are reacting to a fixed point in space or whether the focus of their attention moves around the room. Because that distinction might actually matter for working out what we're dealing with. Has anyone managed to capture it on camera with night vision?

My old lurcher used to do exactly this, same corner, same time, for months. Eventually I got an EMF meter in there and the readings were all over the place around that skirting board area - turned out to be dodgy wiring behind the wall which can apparently cause animals (and people) to feel deeply uneasy. Worth ruling that out before jumping to conclusions, though I'd never dismiss the alternative explanation entirely. Has anything else happened in the hallway or nearby rooms? That time pattern is very specific and thats the part I'd be making notes about if it were mine.
