This happened to me in my old flat in Durham for about three weeks straight. Always between 2:50 and 3:15am, which I documented because I'd read about the "witching hour" window and wanted to see if it held up empirically. It did, pretty consistently.
What I noticed was that it was always the same two cabinets, never the others. Temperature dropped noticeably beforehand too - I had a basic digital thermometer running and got drops of about 4 degrees Celsius before each incident. Could be thermal expansion causing the latches to release but the pattern was too specific for that explanation to sit right with me.
Has anyone tried setting up a camera to capture it properly? I'd be really curious whether you're getting any other activity alongside this or if its isolated to just the cabinets. Poltergeist cases with very localised focus like that are interesting because they sometimes correlate with a specific person in the household rather than the location itself. Worth tracking whether it happens when everyone is home vs when certain people are out.
