Genuinely curious about this one because I've been logging my EVP sessions for about two years now and I do seem to get more hits around the full moon window, but I'm not fully convinced it's not just confirmation bias doing the heavy lifting there.
The problem is we tend to record more frequently when something feels "active" and the full moon is already primed in our heads as a significant time, so naturally we're doing more sessions and therefore catching more audio by sheer volume alone. The sample size issue is real.
That said I've read some stuff about geomagnetic activity correlating with lunar cycles and there's at least a theoretical framework for why electromagnetic sensitivity might fluctuate. Whether that affects EVP capture specifically I genuinely don't know.
Would be interesting if people here actually tracked this properly - dates, lunar phase, number of sessions, number of class A/B/C results. If anyone has done that kind of logging I'd love to see the data rather than just gut feelings, mine included. Anyone actually keeping records or are we all just going off memory?
