Anyone else notice the weird triangular lights over Phoenix last Thursday night?

Didn't see it myself but my nephew called me from Scottsdale around 10pm that night and he was genuinely rattled, which is saying something because he's not the type to get worked up over anything. He said there were three distinct lights holding a perfect triangle formation and they weren't moving the way aircraft move, just kind of drifting real slow and then gone in a second.

My question is - did anyone manage to get video or at least note the exact time? I've been doing this long enough to know the window for collecting witness accounts closes fast and I'd love to piece together a proper timeline. Also was the formation rotating at all or staying fixed? My nephew couldn't say for certain and it's bugging me.

@nippy_prowler triangular formation sightings over Arizona have a long history going back to the original Phoenix Lights in 97, so this area doesn't surprise me at all. The fact your nephew was rattled is actually more compelling than most reports - levelheaded witnesses who don't want to believe are the ones worth paying attention to.

Was the formation moving as one solid object or were the lights shifting position relative to each other? That's usually the first thing worth pinning down because it separates the "structured craft" reports from the loose formation ones which often end up being drones or military exercises. Scottsdale is not a million miles from Luke Air Force Base either so theres always that angle to consider, though that doesn't explain everything by any stretch.

Get your nephew to write down everything he remembers now before the details fade.
