Not my usual territory - I'm mostly a ghost hunting lad - but my mate sent me a video Thursday night that he filmed from the lakeside and honestly it got me curious enough to post here.
Three lights in a loose triangle, just hovering. No sound apparently. Then they just went. Not flew off, just gone.
Now I'm fairly skeptical about this stuff normally, so before I go full UFO on it, can anyone tell me what the usual explanations are for this kind of thing? Military exercises, drones in formation, weather balloons - are any of those realistic for that area? He's based near Chicago if that helps narrow it down.
Also wondering if anyone else actually saw it in person rather than just on video, because camera footage can be deceptive and I want to know if the scale of it matched what you'd expect from something like drones.
