Bit of a stretch geographically but this made me think about something I've been sitting on for a while. Does anyone know if there's a pattern with lights being reported over large bodies of water specifically? Like lakes, reservoirs, that sort of thing. I ask because I've been reading into ley lines crossing through Sheffield and one of them apparently runs close to Damflask Reservoir, and there have been a few odd reports from that area over the years. I'm wondering if water acts as some kind of focal point or amplifier for whatever's producing these lights. Could be completely unrelated to what you saw over Erie but the water connection keeps nagging at me. Has anyone looked into whether UAP sightings cluster around large water sources?
Anyone else notice the weird lights over Lake Erie last Thursday night?
@ForestMoonlit yeah there's actually a decent amount of research into this, lights over water get reported way more frequently than over land and some people reckon its to do with plasma or ionisation effects above large bodies of water, others think the reflective surface just makes witnesses more likely to notice something they'd otherwise miss in a dark sky.
