Been following stuff like this for years and the Nevada situation keeps coming up. Unofficial no-fly zones that nobody can officially explain are more common than people realise, theres a few in the UK too that dont show up properly on standard charts.
What I find odd is how quickly pilots get warned off without any formal airspace designation. Someone is enforcing something that technically doesnt exist on paper.
Anyone got coordinates or specific dates when this was noticed? Would help narrow down whether its linked to anything else going on in that region. I've seen similar patterns discussed in relation to the BEC reports I follow - sometimes these restricted areas overlap with hotspots for unusual ground-level activity too.
Worth digging into properly. Anyone here done any actual fieldwork nearby?
