Never been to the Crescent Hotel myself but this is really interesting to me because phantom smells are one of the more credible recurring details across a lot of paranormal reports. The cigarette smoke one comes up constantly, especially in older buildings where people genuinely did smoke indoors for decades.
What I'd want to know is whether the smell is localised to a specific spot or if it moves around. That distinction matters a lot when you're trying to rule out mundane explanations like residual smell absorbed into old woodwork. Does it come with any temperature drop or other sensory stuff?
Anyone actually documented this with a proper log of times and locations? Would be good to see if theres a pattern rather than just isolated reports.
