Been tracking these on FlightAware for about three years now and the pattern is honestly more suspicious than any crop circle I've ever looked into. They pop up overnight, no NOTAM explanation beyond the usual "military ops" boilerplate, last anywhere from six hours to three days, then vanish like they never happened.
What gets me is the media blackout is total. Not even the local Nevada papers cover it. You'd think one bored journalist in Reno would at least ask a question but apparently not.
Anyone cross-referencing the restriction zones with the seismic monitoring data from the same periods? Because I did last autumn and the overlap is not nothing. Happy to post the spreadsheet if theres enough interest.
