Saw this flagged up on a couple of aviation tracking sites and yeah, the timing is odd. No NOTAM explanation beyond the standard "national security" boilerplate which tells you absolutely nothing useful.
What gets me is how quickly it disappeared from the feeds once people started screenshotting it. I've seen routine military exercises get more detailed paperwork than whatever this was.
Not saying its little green men obviously. Could be a classified drone test, could be something mundane they just don't want eyes on. But the complete absence of any follow-up from the FAA is the bit that nags at me. Usually there's at least a fig leaf of an official reason.
Anyone got the raw NOTAM data saved before it dropped off? I'd be curious to see the exact coordinates and duration rather than just going off secondhand reports. Details matter with this stuff, easy to get burned chasing something that turns out to be a scheduled comms blackout or whatever.
