Honestly this has been sitting in the back of my mind for ages and glad someone finally posted it. The 2019 UK blackout is the one that gets me - it knocked out huge chunks of the north and midlands literally days before some major parliamentary votes were being scheduled around Brexit. Coincidence maybe but the timing was just odd.
What I want to know is whether anyone has actually mapped these out properly, like plotted the blackouts on a timeline against announcement dates? Because thats the kind of thing that either falls apart immediately when you look at the data or it becomes genuinely difficult to explain away.
Do you think its infrastructure being used as a distraction, or something more about suppressing communication at a critical moment? Those feel like two very different theories to me and I think its worth separating them out before we go too deep down either rabbit hole.
