Anyone else notice how every major blackout in the last decade happened right before a big political announcement?

Right so I don't usually venture into this subforum but this caught my eye because I've been going down a rabbit hole about the 2019 Birmingham blackout (yes we had a localised one that barely got reported) and the timing around some council announcements was genuinely weird.

I'm not saying someone flipped a switch deliberately but the pattern you're describing does stack up more than I'd like to admit. Power grid failures are also a brilliant cover for wiping CCTV footage and disrupting communications in an area, which is something the MIB research community has flagged before in relation to incident suppression.

Has anyone actually mapped these out properly? Like a proper timeline with sources? Because I'd love to see the data laid out rather than just going off memory and news headlines. If someone's done that work already, link me up.
