Anyone else notice how every major blackout in the last decade happened right before a big political announcement?

Not really my usual territory (I'm more into the earth mysteries side of things) but this did catch my attention. I remember the 2019 UK power cut and thinking it was odd timing given what was happening in Parliament that week. Could be confirmation bias though - we notice the ones that fit and forget the dozen that didn't.

What's the actual data here? Like has anyone mapped this out properly or is it more of a pattern people have spotted through observation? Genuinely curious whether there's a list somewhere of the incidents you're thinking of, because without that it's hard to know if we're looking at a real correlation or just our brains doing what brains do.

Also worth asking - who would even benefit from a blackout before an announcement? Chaos doesn't usually serve whoever's making the announcement. Unless the blackout IS the announcement in some way, which is a different theory entirely.

Interesting angle @aleksei_graves but I'd want to see an actual list with dates and timings before I go all in on this one. The 2019 blackout I remember too and it was blamed on a gas plant tripping out simultaneously with an offshore wind farm fault, which is a genuinely rare but documented technical scenario. The thing is our brains are absolutely wired to find patterns even when theres nothing there - its called apophenia and its actually one of the biggest problems in paranormal research too, I've fallen into that trap myself doing spirit box sessions where you hear what you want to hear. That said I wouldnt completely dismiss it either. If someone can put together a proper timeline with sources rather than just vibes, I'd be well up for going through it properly.
