Anyone else notice how every major blackout in the last decade happened right before a big political announcement?

Honestly this is something I've been mulling over for a while. The 2019 New York blackout happened just as the Democratic debates were kicking off and nobody really pressed on that timing. Could be coincidence but theres been a few too many of these for me to just shrug it off.

Not saying its all coordinated but powerful infrastructure disruptions do create a kind of news vacuum don't they, people are focused on the chaos and whatever announcement follows gets less scrutiny than it normally would. Whether thats deliberate or just exploited after the fact is the real question I suppose.

Anyone got a solid list of examples they've been tracking? Would be good to actually map them out properly rather than just going on memory and gut feeling. I've tried searching but you get buried in noise pretty fast.
