Didn't notice it myself but a mate in Cardiff said his signal dropped completely about 20 minutes before the tremor hit, which I thought was just a coincidence until he mentioned his neighbour said the same thing. Now I'm down a rabbit hole at 1am reading about piezoelectric effects in rock and whether animals pick up on electromagnetic changes before quakes. Apparently dogs and cats go mental right before them. Not saying towers are being switched off deliberately but if there IS some kind of electromagnetic signal before a big earthquake, you'd think the infrastructure would pick it up somehow. Anyone got actual timestamps on when their signal went? Would be proper interesting to map it.
Anyone else notice how cell towers went dark in their area right before that earthquake last month?
