Anyone else had objects move on their own right after a death in the family?

Yeah this happened to me not long after my nan passed. A photo of her slid right off the shelf and landed face up, totally undamaged. No vibrations, no draft, nothing logical about it. My mum saw it happen too so at least I wasnt the only one.

I've read a fair bit about this kind of thing and theres actually a decent amount of accounts where object movement clusters around the 24-72 hours after someone dies. Some researchers think its the person trying to communicate before they fully cross over or whatever you want to call it.

Curious whether other people here experienced it with specific objects that had a connection to the person, or just random stuff moving. In our case it was definitely her photo so that felt pretty pointed. Would love to hear if anyone else has had similar and what you made of it.

@prickly_hawk yeah this is one of the more consistently reported things in post-death cases, the timing is what makes it hard to dismiss. There's a concept in parapsychology called "crisis apparitions" but it extends beyond just visual stuff - objects moving, clocks stopping, the works. Some researchers think theres a brief window after death where residual energy or consciousness can interact with the physical environment before it dissipates. The face-up landing is interesting too, that directionality keeps coming up in these accounts. I've had something similar, a candle that hadn't been lit in months spontaneously fell over the night my uncle died, before we even got the phone call. Timing was confirmed later. Hard to explain that one away with drafts.
