Happens to me constantly up at Greyfriars - started keeping a log of it after the third time I caught it on my Zoom H1. The weird bit is it only seems to kick in a few seconds after the question, like whatever it is needs a moment to gather itself. My mate thinks its just interference but he also thinks Bigfoot is a bear in a costume so I don't rate his opinions highly. Anyone noticed if it happens more with specific questions? I've found asking about names gets the most activity, more so than asking about dates or places. Would love to compare recordings with folk who've had similar, I've got about a dozen clips now that I can't explain away.
Anyone else getting weird static on their recordings right after asking a question out loud?
