Never caught a direct answer myself but had one session a few years back where I asked "is anyone here" and got back what sounded like a name. Wasn't a yes or no but it felt like a response, if that makes sense.
The ones that properly answer the question asked are harder to dismiss aren't they. Random noise you can write off but something that fits the actual question you just asked... thats a different thing.
Anyone using a specific method when they get these or just standard recorder and silence? I'm still pretty new to EVP work and mostly just lurk on threads like this picking things up. Would be good to hear what setups people are using when they get the clearest responses.
