Didn't see the Lake Michigan one but this is actually really timely for me because I've been trying to figure out how to properly document something similar I spotted over the moors near Leeds about three weeks back. Triangular, totally silent, hovering for maybe two minutes before it just went. No blinking nav lights or anything you'd normally associate with a conventional aircraft.
My question is - what's the best way to actually record and report this stuff? I've got a decent Samsung on me but by the time I fumbled for it the thing was nearly gone. Is there a proper protocol people here follow, like do you log it with MUFON or is there a UK equivalent worth using? Also genuinely curious whether triangular craft sightings tend to cluster around water or is that just a coincidence with your Lake Michigan report and what I saw near the reservoir up here.
