Never been to Baton Rouge but the ". Something is off about a specific floor". Thing is genuinely one of the most consistently reported patterns in haunted hotels and I find it dead interesting.
Third floors specifically come up a lot - there's a whole thread on here from last year about it actually. Something about the geometry of older buildings and how the third floor sits between the ". Public". And ". Private". Zones apparently makes them weird liminal spaces. Or ghosts just really like the number three. Who knows.
What actually happened to you up there? Was it the usual cold spots and weird feelings, or something more concrete? I always get a bit suspicious when people say ". Something is off". Without the detail - not calling you out, just genuinely curious what tipped you over from slightly weird to definitely wrong.
Also did you have anything with you - even just a phone app or basic EMF reader? I've been messing about with a TriField TF2 lately around some sites in Shropshire and even basic kit gives you something to anchor the experience to rather than just vibes.
Would love to hear what others who've stayed there have experienced - especially whether it's consistent across different visitors or just one-offs.
