Never been to Pennhurst personally but this kind of thing fascinates me. The idea that something can essentially attach itself to you and follow you out of a location is something I've been thinking about a lot lately, especially after reading up on some of the Mothman witness accounts where people reported similar feelings of being watched or followed after encounters.
What exactly happened after you got home? Did you notice it straight away or did it take a few days to realise something was off? And was it more of a visual thing, sounds, or just a feeling you couldn't shake?
I'm genuinely curious whether places like Pennhurst have a kind of residual energy that gets "activated" by visitors, or whether some people are just more susceptible to picking things up regardless of location. The history there is so dark it wouldn't surprise me if something lingered. Would love to hear more detail about what you experienced.
