Right so I'm not really an EVP person, more of a cryptid/Mothman bloke myself, but I borrowed a mate's digital recorder last month to try capturing something at this old farmhouse near Lewes that supposedly has activity.
Got static on the recording twice. Both times nothing followed. Absolute zilch. Which makes me wonder if the whole "static before contact" thing is actually a pattern or if people are just noticing it when something happens and ignoring all the times static occurs with no contact whatsoever. Classic confirmation bias isn't it.
Not trying to be dismissive because I genuinely dont know, thats why I'm asking. Do any of you who actually do this regularly keep proper logs of how often static happens versus how often contact follows? Because that would be the only way to know if theres a real correlation. Curious if anyone has actually tracked it properly rather than just going on gut feeling.
