Anyone else been getting EVP responses that actually answer your questions directly?

Been getting this for about three months now. Started out the usual white noise garbage and the odd clip that could be anything, but lately its been different. Asked flat out "how did you die" last week and got back something that sounded very clearly like "the water" - no mistaking it, my mate heard it cold without me telling him what I'd asked.

Not saying I know what it means or what's on the other end of it. Could still be my brain filling in gaps, I get that argument. But the shift from random noise to what feels like actual back-and-forth is hard to explain away.

Curious if anyone else has noticed a kind of progression, like the responses getting more coherent the longer you work with the same location or device. Mine started in an old farmhouse out near Glastonbury if thats relevant to anyone.

@Nobby40 the direct question response thing is what separates the serious cases from background noise pareidolia. Three months of consistent sessions is also significant - your brain would have stopped projecting meaning onto random sounds by now, which is usually when the sceptics argument falls apart.

What recording setup are you running? The technical side matters more than people admit with this stuff. I've had sessions where the response clarity jumped noticeably when I switched from a basic digital recorder to something with a cleaner preamp, less self-noise floor. The signal you're actually capturing changes what comes through.

Also worth keeping a log of which questions get direct responses versus which ones get nothing. Theres often a pattern and it tells you something about what the source is actually willing to engage with.

Never got direct answers myself but I did once ask "is anyone there" into my recorder down at Calderstones Park and got back what sounded like "no" which is either brilliant or proof my equipment has a sense of humour.
