Anyone else been getting EVP responses that actually answer your questions directly?

Been getting this fairly consistently over the past few months with my Panasonic RR-DR60 and honestly it's the part that unsettles me most. Random noise is easy to rationalise. A direct answer is not.

Last Tuesday I asked ". Is anyone here with me?". And got back something that sounded unmistakably like ". Always have been." Not ". Yes." Not just a name. A full three-word response that felt almost... pointed. I sat with that recording for about an hour replaying it.

What I've noticed is that the direct responses tend to come through cleaner than the random EVPs - less distortion, better formed. Which is either fascinating or means my brain is doing exactly what it wants to do with ambiguous audio. Pareidolia working overtime, possibly.

I've started keeping a proper log now - date, time, question asked, exact response captured, weather conditions, ambient noise level. Old habits from a previous life in data entry. If there's a pattern I want to find it properly rather than just getting excited about individual instances.

Has anyone else noticed the response quality seems to correlate with how specific your question is? Vague questions get vague answers. Direct questions occasionally get something that stops you cold.

Also curious whether anyone's cross-referenced their direct-response EVPs against spirit box sessions to see if you're getting consistency. I've been meaning to run parallel sessions but haven't yet.

What are people actually doing with these recordings once they have them - just sitting on them or submitting anywhere for independent review?
