Got this video sent to me by a mate who was walking near Rendlesham Forest on January 8th, early evening (around 5:30 PM). He didn't think much of it at the time but when he reviewed the footage on his telly, he noticed something unusual.

The video shows what looks like 4-5 small glowing orbs moving in loose formation above the treeline, visible for about 40 seconds. They're moving too slowly to be aircraft, too organized to be birds or insects. The quality isn't brilliant (it's a mobile phone recording) but it's interesting enough that I thought I'd post it here for second opinions.

I've already debunked the obvious ones: no helicopters reported, no drones registered in that area, no known astronomical events. Not saying it's extra-terrestrial, just... unusual. Has anyone got experience analyzing this sort of footage?

Can you post the video link or upload it? Hard to analyze based on description alone. Also important details: phone model, weather conditions, cloud cover, any sound, did the witness have corroborating sightings from other people?

Rendlesham Forest again, interesting. That area has more weirdness per square kilometer than anywhere else in England. Without seeing the footage I can't say much, but if the orbs are maintaining formation and moving at a consistent speed, that rules out most natural phenomena.

Most "orb cluster" footage I've analyzed turns out to be Chinese lanterns or party balloons. The formation, the color, the speed - all consistent with that. Not saying that's what this is, but it's the most common explanation for this type of sighting. Phone cameras also struggle with low-light situations and can create artifacts that look like moving objects.

Upload it to the analysis board and I'll take a look. I do this professionally (video production) so I can do a proper technical breakdown - checking for compression artifacts, light sources, motion vectors, etc. Don't expect it to be UFO-related though. Occam's Razor usually wins.

Rendlesham is brilliant for sightings partly BECAUSE of the history. The 1980 incident created this expectation, and now people are more alert and more likely to report anything unusual. Confirmation bias is real in ufology.
