Right, I know how this sounds but I've got to tell someone or I'll lose my mind. My mate Dave and I were doing a sponsored walk on Halloween (raising money for the local hospice, if anyone cares) and we were on the Pennine Way near Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire, around 9:30pm. Weather was clear, full moon, beautiful night actually.

We both saw it at the same time - this massive triangular shape moving silently over the moors. No lights underneath, just this dark silhouette against the starfield. It was absolutely stationary for about 30 seconds, then it just... accelerated upward and vanished. Dave swears it was a craft. I'm trying to stay rational but I can't explain what we saw.

The weird bit? My torch died completely that night and hasn't worked since. Dave's mobile died too. Both back to normal the next day. Has anyone else experienced tech failures after a sighting?

Mate, have you checked if you're near any military installations? RAF Fylingdales is on the North York Moors and they do all sorts of testing. Could've been a drone test. The torch dying is dodgy though, that's got me thinking.

Welcome to the club! I saw something very similar near Bodmin Moor in 2019. The silence is the thing that sticks with people - that's what gets to you. Your torch dying is actually really common after UAP encounters. Electromagnetic interference is the leading theory.

Pennine Way on Halloween dressed as what, exactly? Was Dave in costume? Because if you two looked like Spring-heeled Jack I'd've legged it too 😄

Did you try to photograph it at all? Even if your mobile was dead, did you have a camera? The North Pennines are one of our best UFO corridors in Britain. This report could be really valuable to the database.
