I don't usually talk about this but I've been reading other people's experiences on here and I think I need to just put it out there. This happened in 1998 (I know, old) but I still get anxious about it.

I was driving from Inverness to Fort William, late evening, around 9:30pm. Fairly rural stretch, not much traffic. I remember clearly passing through Glen Coe and then... nothing. Like, literally nothing. The next thing I remember is driving through Fort William town centre and it was 1:15am. I'd lost an hour and forty minutes.

I have no memory of that time. None. But when I got home my neck had three small marks on it - not painful exactly, but definitely there. My wife noticed them immediately. They faded after about three days.

The weird part is I've always felt watched after that. Like, properly observed. And I get these dreams sometimes where I'm in a white room with blurry figures. I know how this sounds. I sound mental. But I can't shake the feeling that something happened during that lost time.

Has anyone experienced similar memory gaps? Did it ever make sense to you?

Please get yourself checked by a GP first, yeah? Memory gaps and missing time can indicate all sorts of medical issues - sleep disorders, minor seizures, even stress-related dissociation. Rule out the mundane before jumping to aliens. That's not skepticism, that's just sensible.

The marks on your neck are interesting. Three points suggests deliberate placement. Have you looked into whether hypnotherapy might help recover the memories? Some abductees report success with professional regression therapy, though results are mixed. Fair warning: it can be distressing.

Glen Coe's got serious energy. Ancient burial grounds, documented paranormal activity going back centuries. Could be alien abduction or could be something else entirely - a time distortion phenomenon, spiritual encounter, something we don't have language for yet. The marks suggest something physical happened though.

You don't. This is one of the most commonly reported experiences in ufology. You're not alone. The memory gaps are consistent with what other abductees describe. Whether it's alien contact, psychological trauma, or something else, your experience is valid and worth taking seriously.

The Scottish Highlands have had an unusual number of UFO sightings historically. Glen Coe especially. There's something about that geography - maybe geomagnetic anomalies, maybe something else. The fact that you've felt watched since suggests a genuine encounter of some kind. Keep a diary. Track the dreams, the feelings. Evidence is in patterns.

1998, Glen Coe, late evening - similar incident reported 1997 in the same area. Two hikers also reported missing time. Might be worth researching local history from that period. Could be a location thing rather than random bad luck.
